"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I see that SS groups are going back into full swing for the upcoming holiday season and I've ALWAYS wanted to participate in one. Unfortunately, most are either full or invite-only. I think I'm at a point where I wouldn't embarrass myself drawing for someone else, so if anyone knows of a good group that's still open, please let me know!
Or better yet, send me an invite.

i always am interested in other people who draw manga since i like to draw manga too!! 8DDD so er, you were going to start a manga but you never got around to it?? ^___^U i'm just curious!!
Yeah, I was planning on drawing it a long time ago (pretty sure I have a page or two in my gallery), but I decided to not do it for a while. Reason being is that I don't think I'm skilled enough artistically to draw it, and since it takes place in Japan, I still have lots of research to do about the country itself. I don't want to draw the manga and have something totally inaccurate in it; that'd be kind of embarrassing.
For the time being, I'm planning it out (characters, stories, possible plots, etc.) and improving my drawing skills. Hopefully, one day I'll be comfortable enough to illustrate it.
School actually just got out for me ^^ I've mostly been studying Japanese (I'm almost done with the jouyou kanji!!) and hanging out with friends. How about you?? Work any more on your manga? ^^
Agh, I wanna study Japanese so much, even if it's just a side thing. My college actually offers a Japanese language class, but I don't have any room for it in my schedule. However, my friend is taking it, so maybe I can sponge off of him and his notes, or something. xD
I haven't done much this summer. I've visited friends a few times back in my college town. I tried job searching, but unfortunately, everything is filled up where I live. I'll have to try again when I head back to my college. Hopefully they can employ me on campus.
And I've been doing research and designing for my manga. I don't feel I have the skill to draw it yet, so in the meantime, I'm practicing drawing and doing other research for it so I can get the details as correct as I can. The research process is pretty fun. I love learning about other cultures, so it doesn't feel like work at all.
